Elsie SANDELL rites Monday

Elsie M. SANDELL, 88, of Salina, died at 3:05 p.m. Thursday at Jefferson County Hospital where she was admitted Feb. 8.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Whitham officiating. Burial will be in Salina Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. SANDELL was born Jan. 16, 1894 in Washington County, the daughter of George John and Rosina BAUER HARTMAN. She lived most of her life in Jefferson County. On Nov. 25, 1914, she married Emil Henry SANDELL in Jefferson County.

Surviving are a son, Chris and a brother, Howard HARTMAN, both of rural Fairfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one son in WWII.

She was a member of the Salina Prebyterian Church, the Dorcas Society and was a Gold Star Mother.
