Isobel Teeter, 89, 2236 Highway 34 East, died at 2:41 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Fairfield, with the Rev. Mike Metz officiating. Burial will be in the Fell Cemetery in Libertyville.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Higher Education Scholarship Fund or Jefferson County 4-H Foundation.

Mrs. Teeter was born April 29, 1914, near Libertyville, the daughter of William Cranston and Georgia E. Petzinger Manning Jr. She married Bernard S. Teeter April 29, 1933, in Agency. He died July 27, 1965.

Mrs. Teeter graduated from Fairfield High School in 1932. She was a teacher in Van Buren County. She was employed at Patton Sewing Center, Pontiac-Buick Garage and Danielson Chrysler, and was a self-employed seamstress.

Mrs. Teeter was a member of First United Methodist Church, Sarah Circle; United Methodist Women; Jefferson County Farm Bureau Women; Mapleleaf Club; and the Philathea Sunday School class. She was a 4-H leader and organized the Four-Leaf Lassies.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Stanley and husband Leland of Fairfield; one daughter-in-law, Sandy Teeter Nelson of Fairfield; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy McCracken of Brighton.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Paul Teeter; one daughter, Barbara, in infancy; and two sisters, Pearl, in infancy, and Wilda Ramsey.
