HANNA rites on Wednesday

Death came Sunday to Cecil G. HANNA, 78, 501 W. Fillmore. He died at 6:25 a.m. at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been a patient for the past three weeks.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Behner Funeral Home. The Rev. Kermit Black will officiate and burial will be in the Batavia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association.

Cecil G. HANNA was born Nov. 2, 1905, in Davis County. He was the son of Frank and Minnie McDOWELL HANNA. He was married to Elda TROXEL Dec. 16, 1931, in Lancaster, Mo.

In addtion to his widow, HANNA is survivied by a daughter, Marilyn SPEAS, Fairfield; a son, Melvin HANNA, Libertyville; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Ross HANNA, Eldon, and Russell HANNA, Des Moines.

A farmer most all of his life, Cecil HANNA moved to Fairfield one year ago from the Batavia-Libertyville Community where he has lived for over 50 years. He was a member of the Christian Church.
