Harry E. MAHON

Harry E. MAHON, 99, of Isabella, Mo., and formerly of Birmingham died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, at Gainesville Health Center in Gainesville, Mo.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Visitation will open at 4 p.m. Friday, with family present from 7-8 p.m.

Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at HC-1, Box 1102, Isabella, Mo. 65676.

Mr. Mahon was born Sept. 29, 1903, south of Fairfield, the son of Lee and Nettie SMITH MAHON. He married Roberta JOHNSTON NELSON March 12, 1948. She died Dec. 11, 1997.

He farmed in the Birmingham-Stockport area, retired to Fairfield and moved to Isabella in May 2002 to live with his son and daughter-in-law.

He played snooker and liked to plant trees. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Fairfield.

Survivors include one son, Alan Lee MAHON and wife Norma of Isabella; two grandsons; one granddaughter; three stepsons, Robert NELSON and wife Deannie of Ocala, Fla., Richard NELSON of West Memphis, Ariz., and Larry NELSON and wife Trudy of Moreno Valley, Calif.; two stepsons-in-law, Duane SMITH of Arizona and Roxie LAWSON of Keosauqua; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two stepdaughters, Desda SMITH and Carol LAWSON, one brother, Ralph MAHON; and one sister, Bessie FLEMING.

Note: West Memphis is in Arkansas not Arizona
