E. T. LUEDTKE Dies At Home

E. T. LUEDTKE (sic. Ernest Theodore LUEDTKE), 75, died suddenly at 9:30 a.m. today at his home at 609 W. Jefefrson (sic. Jefferson) St. He had been in failing health for several years.

Last rites will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Alton Koch. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

LUEDTKE had been a resident of Jefferson county for 49 years. He farmed near Lockridge until moving to Fairfield three years ago. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheral church at Mt. Pleasant.

LUEDTKE was born Dec. 27, 1882 (sic. Jefferson county genealogy sources use Feb. 25, 1882) in Westpocussen, Germany, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl LUEDTKE. He was married to Augusta M. SCHRADORE (sic. SCHROEDER) Dec. 20, 1906 at Norman, Okla.

Surviving are his wife and the following children: August LUEDTKE, Fairfield; Mrs. Anna ANDERSON, Mt. Pleasant; Elsie LUEDTKE and Helen LUEDTKE, both of Davenport; and Martin LUEDTKE, Stronghurst, Ill. Five grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
