Velma M. KELLER, 74, of 404 S. Fourth St., died at 2:35 a.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at University of Iowa Hospitals Clinics in Iowa City.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dave Elmore officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
The family requests memorials be made to Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary or to the donor's choice.
Mrs. KELLER was born Feb. 8, 1928, in Germanville, the daughter of Lloyd Charles and Amanda Marie ARMSTRONG BEKEL. She married Wilbur KELLER Oct. 3, 1947, at Hope Lutheran Church in Germanville. He died April 17, 1991.
Mrs. KELLER graduated from Fairfield High School in 1946. She lived most of her life in Jefferson County. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed knitting and doing needle work.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda COPELAND and Janet FORD, both of Fairfield; one son, Larry KELLER of Fairfield; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leonard BEKEL of Brighton.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Thelma ECKWALL and two infant grandchildren.
