Jack 'Dugan' BRAIN

Jack "Dugan" BRAIN, 65 of Eldon, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at his home in Eldon.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, with the Rev. Dave Albert officiating.

A memorial fund is being established for the family to assist with funeral expenses.

Grace Funeral Care in Eldon, www.gracefuneralcare.com, is assisting family with arrangements.

Mr. BRAIN was born March 26, 1947, in Knoxville, the son of Jack S. and Esther SMITH BRAIN. He married Rita WATTON in June 1969. They divorced in 1983. He married Pat HEYWOOD May 23, 1986.

He served in the United States Army as a communications expert from 1967 to 1970, and was deployed on two tours to Vietnam.

Mr. BRAIN was employed for 25 years at U.S. West as a cable man and manager. After retiring, he drove a semi for Golden Furrow Fertilizer in Eldon.

He enjoyed fishing, panning for gold, metal detecting, old cars and spending time with his friends.

Survivors include his wife Pat BRAIN of Eldon; two daughters, Heather BRAIN of Bailey, Colo., and Chantelle COLLETT and spouse Lyle of Agency; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother Esther BRAIN of Loveland, Colo.; and two sisters, Kay SWAN of Sheridan, Wyo., and Jannie BRAIN of Loveland.

He was preceded in death by his father.
