“Wm Klingaman died at his home his morning, 10 mi. northwest of the city. Born Nov 19 1840 and has lived in Black Hawk Township for the past 60 years. Besides wife leaves 3 sons, Frank of Packwood, O.V. Klingaman of this city, and C. S. Klingaman of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. McDowell Cemetery.”

"A number of people from here attended the funeral Thursday afternoon of Wm. Klingaman, a Civil War veteran, 86 years of age…..Interment at McDowell Chapel…..”
