CRABLE Funeral To Be Thursday

Mrs. Clyde CRABLE, 70, died Monday at 7 p.m., at her home at 501 E. Kirkwood. She had been in failing health for about three years, but her death was due to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at the Weston Behner Funeral Home on Thursday, March 10 at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Ned Gillum officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Stella CRABLE was born Feb. 1, 1896 at Clarinda, the daughter of Alexander and Elta McCUTCHEN RIDNOUR (sic. RIDENOUR). She was united in marriage to Clyde C. CRABLE, Sept. 3, 1911 at Broddyville. They lived at Clarinda until 1924, when they moved to Fairfield.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, and the Golden Wedding Club. Mr. and Mrs. CRABLE celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1961.

She is survived by her husband, and the following children: Mrs. Ellis (Florence) BYERS of Fairfield, George CRABLE of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Hubert (Helen) KELLER of Fairfield, Arnold CRABLE of Davenport, Marvin CRABLE of Fairfield, Melvin CRABLE of Milan, Ill., and Clyde D. CRABLE of Caledonia, Wis., 20 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Hazel MACE of Clarinda.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Note: Buried in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. Devotion B 17 - Space 4. Buried with Clyde Clarence CRABLE, although he remarried. His second wife, Elizabeth, is buried nearby in this same cemetery with her first husband, Emery LITTLE.
