The service for Dorothy Louise SROUT, 73, of Logan Apartments, who died at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, 1995, at Jefferson County Hospital following a traffic accident, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Woodin and the Rev. Bill Rathbun officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is open at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to First Baptist Church.
Mrs. SROUT was born May 19, 1921, in Fairfield, the daughter of Benjamin Amos and Grace Edith ARMSTRONG NICHOLS. On April 3, 1944, she married Joseph Edward SROUT in Fairfield. He died Oct. 8, 1978. A lifelong resident of the Fairfield area, she had worked at Tenco in Fairfield, Ioaw Army Ammunition Plant in Middletown, and at Parkview Care Center. She was a 40-year member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Cheryl GRIFFIN of Fairfield; and two brothers, Robert NICHOLS of Knoxville and Ray NICHOLS of Cedarburg, Wis. Her parents, a brother Henry NICHOLS, and three sisters, Edna LAW, Eunice CECIL and May BLOUGH, preceded her in death.
