Glenn W. GESLING

Glenn W. GESLING, 85, of 500 E. Hempstead Ave., died at 12:20 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, 2003, at Parkview Care Center.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Howard Innis officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Parkview Care Center activity fund.

Mr. GESLING was born Dec. 10, 1917, in Latty, the son of Albert and Pauline DUSTMAN GESLING. He married Ruth WEST Aug. 31, 1940, in Fairfield.

Mr. GESLING attended Mediapolis schools in Mediapolis. He was in the Civilian Conservaton Corps in Fairfield. He was employed as a machinst for two years at Iowa Malleable Company, Heston-Anderson Machine Shop and American Chain and Cable Company for 24 years.

He attended First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Stanley GESLING and wife Fern of Fairfield; two daughters, Patricia JACOBS and husband Arthur of Ottumwa and Sandra STEVENS of Ottumwa; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. GESLING was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Raymond GESLING.
