LOCKRIDGE - Harry A. LEE, 83, of rural Lockeridge, died this morning, June 17, 1993, at the home of his son near Crawfordsville.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Alzheimer's Foundation.
LEE was born July 27, 1909, in Hillsboro, the son of John E. and Ida Pearl SHULTZ LEE. He married Mildred M. TWEEDY on Feb. 28, 1930, in the Methodist church at Mount Pleasant. A farmer, he had lived near Lockridge since 1933. He was a member of New Sweden United Methodist Church, Jefferson County Farm Bureau and Fairfield Square Dance Club.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Guerdon of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Margaret MILLARD of Mount Pleasant, Marilyn SHEETS of Ames, Linda HICKENBOTTOM of Fairfield; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elmer of Mount Pleasant, Lloyd of Salem; four sisters, Irene BAILEY, Dorothy SWAN, both of Fairfield, Evelyn BELL and Opal JOHNSON, both of Salem. A brother, John Jr., a sister, Wilma MABEUS and a grandson preceded him in death.
