Mrs. William HAWK died from cancer of the stomach at her home in Penn township last Sat. night. Funeral Monday morning and interment in Lower Richwoods cemetery. Mrs. HAWK was between 70 and 75 years old and had long been a resident of this county. Leaves husband and four children living.

Francis (sic - Frances) McCLURE was born in Lincoln County, Tenn., Sept 23 1823; married William HAWK in August 1845. Eleven children, seven of whom preceded her to their eternal home. She, with her husband, shortly after their marriage, emigrated to Jefferson County, Iowa....
