LOCKRIDGE - Donald TRABERT, 52, native of Lockridge, died Tuesday morning at his home in Winfield.
TRABERT was injured in a construction accident nine years ago and had been confined to a wheel chair since.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Winfield in charge of the Barton-McKasson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Winfield Cemetery.
A memorial in his memory has been established for the Faith Lutheran Church in Mount Pleasant.
Donald TRABERT was born Sept. 26, 1921, at Lockridge, the son of Fred and Minnie KIRK TRABERT. he was married to Helen TEMPLETON Jan. 2, 1951, at Mount Pleasant. He had made his home in Winfield since 1958.
He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Lutheran Church, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his widow, his parents who reside at Mount Pleasant, his grandmother, Mrs. Louisa KIRK; three daughter, Mrs. Elaine SMITH, Burlington; Mrs. Joan CANTU, Yarmouth; and Barbara Jean at home; also one son, Richard, with the Armed Forces in Germany; a sister, Mrs. Robert PETERSON, Mount Pleasant; and seven grandchildren.
TRABERT was preceded in death by one brother and a sister.
