Sadie E. ROULES

Sadie E. ROULES, 97, of Fairfield died at 4 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000, at Parkview Care Center.

The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Ken Kent officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. ROULES was born Aug. 13, 1902, at Fort Scott, Kan., the daughter of George W. and Sarah Elizabeth STILES ANTHONY. She married James "Jimmie" ROULES July 14, 1923, at Fort Scott. He died July 20, 1953.

Mrs. ROULES grew up at Fort Scott. She had been a resident of Fairfield since 1925. She worked as a telephone operator for United Telephone Company for 13 years before her retirement.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Philathea Class, United Methodist Women, Fairfield Business and Professional Women, and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Survivors include one son, Fredrick ROULES of Mediapolis; and three grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Helen ROULES; three brothers; and three sisters.
