Don A. HUMPHREYS, born Nov. 10, 1889 in Fairfield, son of Marvin B. and Minnie M. GLEASON HUMPHREYS, died Sept 11 at Jefferson County Hospital. Married, Feb. 26, 1921 Ida ADAMI who survives; also three sisters: Mrs. Bernice DuBOIS and Mrs. Ned PEQUIGNOT, both of Fairfield; and Mrs. J. H. DAGGETT, Detroit, Mich. Two sisters preceded him in death. Home at 203 W. Broadway. Christian Church. Operated a farm 7½ miles southeast of the city for 40 years before retiring and moving to Fairfield three years ago.

Don HUMPHREYS Taken In Death

Don A. HUMPHREYS, 75, 203 W. Broadway, died at 4:35 a.m. today at the Jefferson County hospital after a serious illness of five weeks. He had been in failing health since May.

Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral home in charge of the Rev. Ned Gillum, assisted by the Rev. Alvin E. Nelson. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

HUMPHREYS operated a farm seven and a half miles southeast of the city for 40 years before retiring and moving to Fairfield three years ago. He was a member of the First Christian church.

He was born Nov. 10, 1889 in Fairfield, the son of Marvin B. and Minnie M. GLEASON HUMPHREYS. He was married to Ida ADAMI Feb. 26, 1921.

Surviving are his wife and three sisters: Mrs. Bernice DUBOIS and Mrs. Ned PIQUIGNOT (sic - PEQUIGNOT), both of Fairfield; and Mrs. J.H. DAGGETT, Detroit, Mich. Two sisters preceded him in death.
