Elsa Wentworth, daughter of Jacob and Emma Sinn Fichtner, was born Dec. 4 1892 in Walnut township, Jefferson County, Iowa; died Jan. 24 1966 aged .76-1-20. Came to Brighton in October 1917 with her parents, where she became a telephone operator for a number of years. On Dec. 9 1930 she was married to David H. Wentworth. Was baptized and confirmed in the Hope Lutheran Church at Germanville, and remained in that faith till the end. Survived by one sister, Mrs. Adelia Lynn, her step-son Harry Wentworth, and six nieces and two nephews. Preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Walter and Homer Fichtner.....Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery at Brighton.
