Sandra Kay MILLER, 53, of Ottumwa, died Sunday, April 1, 2012, at home.
A service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the Rev. Bill Hornback officiating. Cremation will follow, and inurnment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery (sic - probably in Ottumwa).
Visitation began at 11 a.m. today at the funeral home, with the family present from 5-8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Hospice at 927 Pennsylvania Ave., Ottumwa 52501, or Heartland Humane Society, P.O. Box 1149, Ottumwa 52501.
Mrs. MILLER was born Sept. 8, 1958, in Fairfield, the daughter of Arthur E. and Marjorie J. DIEHL WORLEY. She married G. Mike MILLER June 9, 2007.
A graduate of Fairfield High School in 1976, Mrs. MILLER completed a registered nurse's degree at Indian Hills Community College and her bachelor of science degree at Iowa Wesleyan College. She had worked as a nurse at Good Samaritan Nursing and Rehab Center, with in-home health care and for Dr. McMillan's office.
Mrs. MILLER loved animals. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her stepgrandchidlren.
Survivors include her husband; her mother of Ottumwa; one stepdaughter, Kimberly JONES of Ottumwa; three stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Jane KNAPP of Marion and Marsha WORLEY-VANDELLO of Ottumwa; and one brother, Larry WORLEY of Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by her father; her grandparents; and one stepson, Kerry MILLER.
