Andrew L. Zihlman, 87, long time resident of the Brighton community, died Monday evening Dec. 21 at the Parkview Nursing Home in Wayland. Bur. Hillcrest Cem., Brighton. Born Aug 19 1877 on a farm near Germanville. Later the family moved to a farm southeast of Brighton where he spent practically his entire life as a farmer and thresher. Married Ada Bales May 4, 1904. Six children: Mrs. John Moore, Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.; Mrs. Walter Uebele, Burlington, Wisc.; Howard, Brighton; Mrs. Dr. Dan Bulmer, Midland, Mich.; Carl, Oak Park, Ill.; and Mrs. Al Schmidt, Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.. Survivors also include two sisters, Bertha Zihlman, Brighton, and Mrs. Emma Roth, Fairfield; three brothers, Lucas Zihlman, Pleasant Plain; John Zihlman, Fairfield, and Jacob Zihlman, Brighton. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister
