Mrs. Fred Hodgens, widow of the late John J. Hodgens, died at the home of her son, J. E. Hodgens at Clayton, Kansas Dec 2, aged 85 years. She was born in North Carolina on Jan. 18 1850 (?); married John Hodgens in 1840 and they lived on a big farm south of Brighton for a great many years.
