Page 1, Column 6Mrs. Leo FRITZ, 69, of Washington, died Mon. Morning Apr. 8 1968 in the Washington County Hospital.....Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery at East Pleasant Plain. Gertrude Elizabeth GELSKI was born Dec. 1, 1898 near East Pleasant Plain, daughter of Stanislaus and Martha KURKA GELSKI. She was reared in East Pleasant Plain and Brookfield, Mo., communities and married Apr. 6 1921 to Leo Joseph FRITZ. Lived on a farm near Pleasant Plain until moving to Washington 16 years ago. Member Catholic Church, VFW Aux. And American Legion Auxiliary. Surviving are husband, two sons, Alfred FRITZ of Washington and Clifford FRITZ of East Pleasant Plain; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Leona) PAULY of Fort Madison and Mrs. Lester (Rose Mary) WORLEY of Washington; 15 grandchildren; one brother Thomas GELSKI of Moberly, Mo., and one sister Mrs. Matthew FRITZ of Washington. Preceded in death by one grandson; three brothers and 3 sisters.
