Pg. 3 Col. 4ELIZABETH VINTON DIED LAST EVENING
Many friends all over the city were greatly shocked when it became known that Marie Elizabeth VINTON, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. VINTON (sic. Edward Whitacre VINTON and Rosa JACKSON THOMA/VINTON), passed away last night at 10:30 o'clock at their home on North Fifth street.
On the 14th of last October she was taken very ill and has been in poor health since. She was thought to be on the road to recovery when, several weeks ago, she suffered a relapse. Yesterday she was taken seriously ill and last night answered the final summons. Everything that loving hearts and hands could do for her was done, but to no avail. Her death has cast a gloom over the entire community for she was a girl who had endeared herself to everyone by her pleasing manners and kindnesses.
She was born in Fairfield on September 29, 1900, and her entire life has been spent here, and many were the friends she made at school and elsewhere. Besides her grief-stricken parents she is survived by one sister, Catherine.
The funeral services will be held from the home tomorrow at 3 o'clock and the remains will be laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.
