Ronald SPATH, 76, of Fairfield, died at home.

Arrangements are pending at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Ronald SPATH

Ronald SPATH, 76, died March 20th. Ron was a gifted artist, poet and singer. He was born and raised in Chicago and moved to Fairfield in 1976 but never gave up rooting for the Cubs. Although he was physically fragile in his later years the family argued over who would be his partner in Trivial Pursuit and had to have an additional member on the opposing team to make the game fair. But above all else he loved getting news, pictures and occasional visits from his daughter and only grandchild, Jack, now 4.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved daughter, Rachel BECKLEY of Greenville, California, his sisters LaVergne DUNN of Fairfield, Debbie PUTNAM MIDDAGH of Dodgeville, Wisconsin, and his brothers Larry of Elkhorn, Wisconsin and Dennis of Tyler, Texas.

The family warmly invites friends to join them at 6:30 on Saturday, March 31st at St. Mary's parish hall, (3100 W. Madison), for a celebration of Ron's life and to share memories and refreshments. The 5:30 Saturday Vigil Mass for Palm Sunday will be offered in Ron's honor.

Memorials for the family may be sent to LaVergne DUNN, 400 S. 3rd in Fairfield.
