Mary Augusta CORNETTI

Mary Augusta CORNETTI, 97, of Fairfield died at 7 a.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, at Nelson Nursing Home.

Burial will be at Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta, Ill. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to Patients Activity Fund at Nelson Nursing Home.

Raymond Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. CORNETTI was born July 29, 1906, in Blue Mound, Ill., the daughter of Lewis and Anna CLIFTON HEDGES.

Mary was a first grade teacher for many years in Illinois and Florida. In recent years, she resided at Nelson Nursing Home where she was cared for by a kind and dedicated staff.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She will be greatly missed by Helen FORSTER and Norman FORSTER, niece and nephew, as well as her great-nieces Bonnie TENLEY-FRELS, Peggy KUDA and Caroline FORSTER.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, as well as Florence FORSTER, her sister and Mrs. Vernon PARRISH, her niece, both of Fairfield.
