Rachel GORSUCH AKERS was born near Cassville, Penn. in 1843, the oldest child of Henderson and Sarah STEVER GORSUCH. She spent her childhood and grew to womanhood at Fairfield, Iowa. She was married in 1868 to I. E. AKERS (sic - Israel Elliott AKERS) who passed away 25 years ago. Mother of four children, of whom two are living: Mrs. Gertrude COVERT of Klamath Falls, Oregon, and George M. AKERS of Peoria, Ill. Another daughter, Mary STAUB, passed away in Sept. 1925 in Klamath Falls. She also leaves 10 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren. Mrs. AKERS..... has made her home in Klamath Falls, Oregon, for the past 12 years and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gertrude COVERT on Nov. 8 at the age of 87-5-22.
