The Brighton Enterprise, chronicles the death of Mrs. Salina Bain, in Walnut township. She was 86 years of age, a native of Cabarrus County, N.C. With her husband she came to Iowa in 1838, and was indeed a pioneer. Among the 5 of her 10 children who survive her is M. Z. Bain of Walnut.
