Mrs. Salina Bain died at the home of her son M. Z. Bain in Walnut township, Jefferson County, age nearly 86 years. Salina Plunkett was born in Cabarrus County, N.C. Nov. 7, 1803. In April 1825 she was married to John C. Bain. Soon after their marriage they moved to Illinois, where they lived until Sept. 1838 when they moved on the farm ½ mile west of Wayland. 10 children......Funeral at Cottonwood Church.
