Mrs. Anna Bain, wife of M..Z. Bain, died at her home in Walnut township at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon May 5 of gongestion (congestion) of the stomach.....Anna Jane Nelson was born in Gilford county, N.C. 4 Oct 1831, came to Henry County, Iowa in 1841 and was married to Mr. Monroe Z. Bain Aug 3 1853. 10 children, 8 boys and 2 girls, 9 of whom survive her, the youngest being 14 years of age.......Buried Moorehead grave yard near Merrimac.
