Rites Here Monday For Robert B. LAMB

A former Fairfield businessman died suddenly at his home in Burlington this morning after suffering from ill health for the past four or five months.

He is Robert B. LAMB, 68, who operated a shoe repair shop on the north side of the square here for 13 years. The family left Fairfield in the fall of 1940.

Last rites will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hoskins fuseral (sic - funeral) home with Rev. S. P. Williamson and Rev. Ellis Angle in charge. Burial will be in the Brethren cemetery near Libertyville.

Robert B. LAMB was born December 1, 1880, in Iowa. After moving from Fairfield he had lived the past six years in Burlington.

He is survived by his wife and one son, Harold, Ft. Madison; and the following step-children, Claude SMITH, Burligton (sic); Harold SMITH, Washington, D.C.; Mrs. Russell SIMMONS, Fairfield; and five grandchildren.

Mr. LAMB is also survived by two brothers: Ed of Montrose, Ia., and Hood of Hinsdale, Illinois; and a sister, Mrs. Martha JUNKIN of Bloomfield. One son, Lowell, died in 1937.

Note: Wife Nellie was previously married to Leonard Ross SMITH who was killed by lightning in 1916. After Robert's death she remarried to Clarence G. MILLER. She died in 1972 and is buried with Robert.
