Death Comes To Mrs. MILLER, 85

Nellie Olive MILLER, mother of Mrs. Russell SIMMONS, Fairfield, died at 10:50 p.m. Monday at the Ottumwa Hospital. She had been a patient in Ottumwa Manor Home for the past four years.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kennedy in charge. Burial will be in the Brethren Cemetery northwest of Libertyville.

Nellie Olive MILLER, 85, was born April 1, 1887, near Libertyville, the daughter of Joseph and Augusta PEEBLER WAGNER. A member of the Brethren Church, she was reared and educated near Batavia.

In 1904 she was married to L. Ross SMITH who passed away in 1917 (sic - 1916). Her marriage to Robert LAMB took place in 1930, he died in May, 1949. LAMB owned and operated the Lamb Shoe Repair shop on the north side of the Fairfield square for a number of years, and Mrs. LAMB was employed at the Leber Variety Store and Penneys.

She was married to Clarence G. MILLER in 1957 who survives.

In addition to her husband, who lives at Hayesville, Mrs. MILLER is survived by one daughter, Mrs. SIMMONS of Fairfield, two sons, Harold G. SMITH, Arlington, Va., and W. Claude SMITH, Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Other survivors include six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; one stepson, Harold LAMB, Fort Madison; two step-daughers (sic), Mrs. Ruth SHULTZ, Sigourney, and Mrs. Lynne WATERS, Geneseo, Ill.; and several step grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.
