Lee GALLUP, 99, of Parkview Care Center, died at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 1995, at Parkview.
The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the Senior Citizen Center and the Fairfield Public Library.
GALLUP was born Aug. 25, 1896, in Liberty Township, Jefferson County, the son of William Kinney and Stella THOMPSON GALLUP. He married Helen PARSON on Dec. 25, 1918. She died July 14, 1922. On June 12, 1925, he married Jessie HOFFMAN, who died May 22, 1982. He married Larue FRIEBERG in July 1983. She died Aug. 31, 1993. A lifelong resident, he was a farmer, carpenter and a state representative for Jefferson County for three terms. He was affiliated with the Methodist church and the Knights of Pythias.
Surviving are two daughters, Helen FULTON of Fairfield, Norma BOSLOUGH of Broomfield, Col.; a son, Elden of Ottumwa; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A brother, Howard preceded him in death.

Admin. note: Fred is buried in Lot 2nd.265 as are both of his first two wives; Larue is buried with her first husband in Fell Cemetery.
