Van PEEBLER, 76, McAllen, Tex., former Jefferson County resident, died Tuesday at McAllen. Funeral arrangements are pending at Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon.
A retired farmer, he and his wife, Alma resided in Minnesota in the summer. Mrs. PEEBLER's address is 121 Orchid Street, Pine To Palm Mobile Home Court, Weslaco, Texas 78546.

BATAVIA - Funeral services for Van H. PEEBLER, 76, of McAllen, Tex., who died Dec. 30 at McAllen, will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m., at Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia with the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Fell Cemetery.
PEEBLER was born Jan. 13, 1904 in Jefferson County near Batavia, the son of John and Kathryn RODIBAUGH PEEBLER. He had farmed in the Batavia area, operated a general merchandise store in Glasgow for five years and had farmed in the Baudette, Minn., area from 1944 until he retired in 1970. He married Alma STEVER Feb. 27, 1937. She survives.
Also surviving are four sisters, Wanda McNIEL Fosston, Minn., Helen THOMPSON, Baudette, Minn., Hazel ALLISON, Libertyville, Edith WHISLER, Batavia, one brother, John PEEBLER, Batavia and a half-brother, Cecil PEEBLER of Cedar Rapids.
