Donald E. ESSARY

Donald E. ESSARY, 64, 811 W. Kirkwood Ave., died at 10:44 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 1994, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Garth Betry officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation is open at the funeral home with the family present from 6:30 to 8 tonight. A memorial has been established in his name.

ESSARY was born Nov. 18, 1929, in Ottumwa, the son of John T. and Adiline KIRK ESSARY. On Apirl (sic) 14, 1947, he married Donna I. SNOOK in Eldon. A resident of the Fairfield community since 1946, he worked in the foundry at Iowa Malleable Iron Co. for 42 years. He was affiliated with Free Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife; four sons, David, Danny, Donald H. and Dennis, all of Fairfield; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; four brothers, John of Floris, Wayne of Fairfield, Ronald of Swartz Creek, Mich., Byron of Ottumwa; three sisters, Louise STEWART, Rosemary ESSARY, both of Ottumwa, and Beverly HARRIS of Bettendorf.
