Helen E. WATSON

Helen E. WATSON, 89, of Parkview Care Center of Wayland, died at 4:55 a.m. today, April 21, 1993, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Plain, wiht the Rev. David Rogula and the Rev. Bill Clendineng officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Plain Friends Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Behner Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to Pleasant Plain Friends Church to be used for the dining room.

Mrs. WATSON was born Feb. 11, 1904, in Fairfield, the daughter of Clyde and Mabel ABRAHAM BELL. She married Carlos H. WATSON on July 2, 1930, at her parents' home. He died Nov. 4, 1990. She taught school for seven years in Jefferson County rural schools in the Germanville area, was an Avon representative and a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Plain Friends Church, where she was treasurer for several years. She was a member of the Loyal 12 Neighborhood Club and past president of WCTU.

Surviving are three sons, Charles E. of Bloomington, Ill., Keith of Richland., Gordon P. of Washington, Iowa; nine grandchidren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold C. BELL of Fort Worth, Texas; and a sister, Marjory SNUGGS of Albuquerque, N.M. A brother, Paul BELL, preceded her in death.
