Page 1, Column 5Elizabeth SCHAFER WENDLING died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma KNERR, near Coppock on Friday evening April 28 of heart trouble and complications... Born in Ohio Aug 11 1837 and came to Iowa with her parents at the age of 3 years. She has always made her home in the vicinity of Germanville. In Aug. 1858 m. John WENDLING who died 17 years ago. Four children, Emma, Mary, who died 9 years ago, George and Elizabeth; also two half-sisters, two half-brothers, 15 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren. Funeral from the home of her daughter Mrs. Elizabeth KESSEL at 2 o'clock Sun., conducted by Rev. Kessler, with interment in Union Cemetery near Germanville.
