John HESSER Sr. was born in Walnut township, Jefferson County, Iowa, 16 July 1844 and in the spring of 1846 moved with his parents to Rock Island Co., Ill. In 1851 he returned to Jefferson County and on 13 Sept. 1863 married MARY L. HELDERBRAND also of Walnut township... Died Feb. 16, 1897 aged 52 yrs. 7m., leaving wife, three sons and two daughters of which four are married. Buried at Brighton.
