HESSER. Eleanor Shaw born in Penn. July 5, 1815. In 1834 she married ANDREW HESSER in Ohio. In 1837 they removed from Ohio and settled in Linn County, Iowa, where they remained until 1851 when they removed to Jefferson County and settled in Walnut township where on Mar. 7 1869 her husband died. Since then she has continued to live in the same neighborhood until Jan. 2, 1893 when she passed away. Mother of five sons and six daughters. Seven children survive. Funeral preached at her last residence in Coppock Jan. 4 by the pastor of the Brighton M. E. church.
