Page 4, Column 3Died, at her home in Walnut township, April 13, 1889, Mrs. Catherine SINN, widow of Jacob SINN, deceased, aged 89-8-20. Catherine FRICK was born in Wurtenburg, Germany, July 23 1801, where she was married to Jacob SINN. In the year 1835 they came to the United States, locating in the State of Pennsylvania. In the year 1845 they came to Iowa, locating in Jefferson County, where they lived on a farm until 1874, when her husband died. Since that time she has lived with her daughter Mrs. W. H. KNERR of Germanville. The funeral took place on Monday April 15 at the German Lutheran church, in the presence of a large concourse of people, Rev. R. A. Pfister officiating. Her descendants number 8 children, 41 grandchildren and 30 greatgrandchildren. Member of the Lutheran church in early youth and faithful to the end. She was a quiet Christian woman, highly respected by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
