Kathryn NICHOLSON, 86, dies

Kathryn M. NICHOLSON, 86, died at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson Nursing Home.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Parker officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Arthritis Foundation.

Mrs. NICHOLSON was born Jan. 12, 1898 at Noble, the daughter of Joel and Anna WESTOL FRY. On Jan. 28, 1925, she married William Raymond NICHOLSON in Washington County. He preceded her in death, as did her parents, a grandchild, four brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are four children, Richard of Pleasant Plain, Fred of Topeka, Kan., Annabelle McCARDY of Arcadia, Calif., Lucille PARKER of Newton; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Newton FRY of Pueblo, Colo., Milton FRY of Wheeling, Ill., and a siter Hattie FRY of Fairfield.

Mrs. NICHOLSON was a membr of Eincher Mennonite Church at Noble. She was a housekeeper for many years at Turner Hotel and worked at Carl Produce Company. She lived most of her life in Jefferson County and was a resident of Fairfield for 30 years.
