Page 3, Column 2SALINA. John HOSTETLER, the oldest man in Lockbridge township, passed away Saturday night. He went to bed as well as usual, and when he did not come to breakfast, members of the family went to his room and found him dead in bed. Death had come very gently during the night and touched the old man and he had gone into another world without struggle. He was a pioneer and would have been 95 years old had he lived until October. He was respected by all who knew him for his sterling honesty and will be missed by all the old settlers. He leaves a son and daughter who have the sympathy of the community.
