Funeral of Mrs. George HARTMAN at Germanville. Maria FRICK HARTMAN was born at Wuertenburg, (sic) Germany May 18, 1844, died Tuesday noon. When 21 years of age she came to Iowa and settled in Jefferson County, where she has since resided with the exception of eight years in Missouri. In 1864, while in Germany married George HARTMAN who is left to mourn. Four children: Bertha has preceded her mother in death, and George, Christ and William all of Fairfield....

Admin. note: Buried in Hope Lutheran Cemetery with husband George who died in 1932. Her date of death is the 20th on her gravestone and in her husband's obituary, but her age at death (given in another obituary on this message board) is 72-3-4. The 'Tuesday noon' noted above would be August 22nd.
