Mrs. Mary Elizabeth CRILE age 73, who has been a resident of the Brighton community for many years, died Tuesday morning at 6 o’clock at her home. Diabetes. Survived by husband Jacob CRILE, two children of her own, Andrew CRILE and Mrs. Amelia WEENIKE of Brighton, and 5 stepchildren: Mrs. Ida BOOS of Lockridge, Mrs. Lizzie LOOS of Oskaloosa, Amos CRILE of near Batavia, Mrs. Lucinda SINN of Sigourney, and Ed CRILE who lives south of Brighton, and one sister, Mrs. EVILHEISER. Buried Hope Lutheran Cemetery at Germanville.

Admin. note: Husband was John Jacob CRILE (Jake J. in his obituary), and his first wife was Mary FICHTNER who died in 1883. Mary Elizabeth LANZ was his second wife. He died in 1931 and is buried in Hope Lutheran with both wives.
