Mrs. Mabel Viola Van Winkle, 67, of Wayland, died Tues. about 10:30 p.m. at Memorial Hospital at Mt. Pleasant. Born Sept. 1,1898 in Jefferson County, daughter of John and Mary Sinn Pfeiffer; married Arthur Van Winkle Feb. 21, 1923. Member Germanville Luthern Church. Surviving are husband, son Lyle of rural Brighton, 2 granddaughters, and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Crile of Brighton and Elma Pfeiffer of Wayland. Funeral services Fri. Aug. 19 at the Zehr Funeral Home in Wayland with Rev. E. Abelmann in charge. Bur. Hillcrest Cem., Brighton.
