Jacob LANZ, son of John and Mary Elizabeth LANZ, was born May 12, 1856 in Wapello County, Iowa; baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church at Germanville; married Feb. 21, 1884 in Hedrick to Mary EBELSHEISER; he died in Hedrick Saturday evening. Leaves three sons, widow, two brothers, JOHN of Germanville, PHILLIP of Hedrick, and two sisters, Elizabeth (MRS. J.J.) CRILE of Germanville and MRS. Mary EBELSHEISER of Hedrick. Two brothers, Christian and George preceded him in death, and two sisters died in infancy.....
