Charles Richard "Dick" ALLISON, 62, 1103 S. Fourth, died at 6 p.m. Thursday at Jefferson County Hospital.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Goins officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will received friends from 7 to 8 p.m Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to the Cancer Fund and Jefferson County Hospital Auxiliary Lifeline.
ALLISON was born Aug. 24, 1923 in Fairfield, the son of Charles L. and Elizabeth HESTON ALLISON. He lived in Fairfield all of his life, graduated from Fairfield High School, served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II and was employed at Dexter Company for 40 years. He was a member of the Fairfield Fire Department, having served as a chief from 1967 to 1971. He married Florence ANGEL Jan. 19, 1946 in Fairfield. He was a member of First Christian Church and was active in Little League for a number of years.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Beth BROWNLEE, Bonnie ALLISON, both of Fairfield; four grandchildren; two sisters, Eloise KAUSE, Jeanette DUCKWORTH, both of Fairfield, and an aunt, Marie HEGG of Fairfield.
His parents and a sister preceded him in death.
