Jesse WRIGHT

Jesse WRIGHT was born near Wooster, Sept. 16, 1872, ddie (sic - died) April 2, 1927 and at the age of 55 (sic - in his 55th year, or 54 years of age). He was united in marriage to Edna SWALES of Fairfield and to this union four children were born, Vern, Floyd and Clara, all of Ottumwa, and Helen who preceded him in death when an infant. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Unice SPRAY of Ottumwa, Ia., Mrs. Nancy FULTON of Los Angeles, Calif., one brother, Steven WRIGHT of Fairfield.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10 oclock from the Hoskins Funeral parlors in charge of Rev. Lewis Mendenhall. Interment was made in the Wright cemetery near Glasgow.

WRIGHT FUNERAL HERE TOMORROW
Former Resident Is Killed In Ottumwa; Interment At the Wright Cemetery

The body of Jesse WRIGHT will arrive in the city tonight and funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from the Hoskins Funeral Parlors.

Mr. WRIGHT was killed Saturday afternoon in Ottumwa when a train ran over him. He was carrying a log of wood to his home and stopped on the track when he must have become bewildered on seeing the train was so close and was unable to move.

Mr. WRIGHT lived in West End Addition for 14 years and four years ago went to Ottumwa to make his home. He is survived by his wife and three children, Verne, Floyd and Clara. Also the following brothers and sisters: Steve WRIGHT of West End Addition, Mrs. Dave FAULKNER of California, and Mrs. Yune SPRAY of Ottumwa. Interment will be made in the Wright cemetery.

Rev. Mendenhall In Charge This Morning At Hoskins Funeral Parlors

Funeral services were held this morning at 10 oclock from the Hoskins Funeral parlors for Jesse WRIGHT, who was killed Saturday afternoon by a train in Ottumwa. Rev. Lewis Mendenhall had charge of the services. Miss Minnie Larson and Mrs. Zerline were the singers. Interment was made in the Wright cemetery near Glasgow.

… --Mrs. Jesse WRIGHT and daughter Clara will return to their home in Ottumwa tomorrow after having accompanied the body of Mr. WRIGHT here for burial, Tuesday. Mr. WRIGHT was killed last Saturday when a train run over him in Ottumwa (sic).
