Services for Jessie M. GALLUP, 82, 1304 South D, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
Jessie GALLUP died at 4 p.m. Saturday at Maple Wood Manor in Keota. She had been in failing health a number of years.
She was born Aug. 12, 1899, near Libertyville. She was the daughter of F. J. and Katie L. WAGNER HOFFMAN. Her marriage to Lee GALLUP took place June 2, 1925, in Ottumwa. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters and a son: Helen FULTON, Libertyville and Norma Lee BOSLOUGH, Broomfield, Colo.; and Eldon GALLUP, Fairfield.
Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren along with four sisters also survive. The sisters are Inez GLOTFELTY, Denison; Zelda BUCK, Rollinsville, Colo.; Margaret LUVASS, Cedar Rapids; and Pearle DAVIS, Mount Morris, Ill.
Mrs. GALLUP spent her entire life in Jefferson County. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa and taught school at Bloomfield, Greene and Monticello. She was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
