Mrs. ADAMS Dies At 88

ELDON -- Maude E. ADAMS, 88, died at her home here at 7:05 a.m. today. Arrangements are pending at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eldon.

Mrs. ADAMS was born in Missouri on Feb. 16, 1888. She had lived in the Batavia community many years and in Eldon the past 26 years.

She was married to Gim ADAMS, who preceded her in death in 1949.

Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth CRAWFORD of Eldon, Mrs. Pauline DAVIS of Ottumwa, Mrs. Hazel WARD of Fremont, Mrs. Bessie JOHNSON of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Ruth BURNS of Napa, Calif., Mrs. Jessie CHRISTY of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Bettie SMITH of Kansas City, Mo.; and three sons, Everett of Eldon, Clarence of Fremont and Glen of Agency.

Also surviving are 27 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and one sister, Mrs. Grace BROOKHART of Arbela, Mo. She was preceded in death by one son.
