Ollie BRIGGS dies in Wayland

Ollie M. BRIGGS, 94, of Lockridge died at 12:50 p.m. Friday, March 10, 1989, at the Parkview Nursing Home in Wayland.

She was born Dec. 1, 1894, in Lockridge, the daughter of Charles and Jennie PETERSON ERICKSON. She married John H. BRIGGS on Feb. 21, 1917 in Fairfield, he died Feb. 2, 1974.

She lived her entire life in the Lockridge community, where she was a homemaker and helped her husband farm. She attended Iowa Wesleyan Academy for two years.

Mrs. BRIGGS is survived by a daughter Verna L. SPANGLER of Washington and a son Robert of Lockridge, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

The funeral service for Mrs. BRIGGS will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. Lenwood Monte officiating.

Burial will be in the Lockridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Sunday noon. Memorials may be left to the Lockridge Senior Citizen Center and the Wayland Parkview Nursing Home.
