Harold E. BAKER, 58, resident at the Fairfield Hotel, died Friday afternoon at the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines where he had been a patient since Monday.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Weida officiating. Burial will be in the National Military Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, with full military honors.
Harold E. BAKER was born Oct. 8, 1917, at Packwood. He was the son of Erle and Verle BOTTORFF BAKER. He attended rural schools and the Fairfield High School.
BAKER served 20 years of active duty with the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1964. He had lived in Kansas City, Mo., and Belleville, Ill., prior to his moving to Fairfield in February, 1975.
He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lois HAMMACK, Tecumseh, Mich., and Mrs. Jean DAVIS, Fairfield, three nieces and two nephews.
